IPUS NIRS Nanobag® Analysis for animal manure and biogas digestion liquid

A new chemical analysis for all relevant parameters of animal manure and biogas digestion liquid is developed by IPUS GmbH, Rottenmann, Austria. It is based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and the innovative IPUS NIRS Nanobag®, which serves as a sample bin, suitable for conservation and transportation of the sample. A special nanosilicate packing material absorbs the liquid and makes it odour-free.

The advantages compared with conventional chemical analysis:

  • Secure and odour-free sample transport to the analysis laboratory by mail Analysis of all relevant parameters in one step with the NIRS-device:
  • Dry substance, organic dry substance, pH, nitrogen, ammonia, phosphorus, potassium, organic acids
  • Significant lower analytical costs (around 20% of conventional methods)
  • Analytical results within few days
  • Permanent biological monitoring of your biogas process (digester liquid and feedstuff)
  • Systematic nutrient management in manure fertilization

Application

Just fill the manure in a bucket, mix it thoroughly and put a sample into the IPUS NIRS Nanobag®, using the provided sample spoon. The sample liquid is absorbed by the special nanosilicate carrier material inside the IPUS NIRS Nanobag®. Now you can mail it to the IPUS NIRS Nanobag® laboratory for analysis.
